JULIA GRINER

Born and raised in New York City, I grew up around film and photography.

I started experimenting with cameras in grade school when I got my first Nikon and moved on to darkroom courses in high-school. I continued to create and study image making in college and graduated from Kenyon with a B.A. in Modern Foreign Languages and a continued studies in photography.

After 10+ years as the support behind the image makers in commercial film and photography in the US and Europe, I decided to work fulltime on my own imagery and have been a freelance photographer since 2000.

From 2001 to 2006 I assisted Bruce Davidson of Magnum Photos, am 

currently based in Rome, Italy and shoot world-wide.
